History in the Making

"Charlotte the Personality Pot"(above) was just accepted into the juried show, "History in the Making II".

I wrote a couple of months ago here about my application to the show. To apply, artists needed to cite their historical influences and what part they have in shaping current work. The Juror, Val Cushing, would select pieces that he felt showed both a strong connection to historical influence and a high level of individual artistic interpretation, as well as contributing to a diverse representation for our gallery.

The show runs from September 28th-October 27th with an opening reception Friday, September 28th from 6:30-9:30 pm. Juror Val Cushing will be on hand with opening remarks and to award first, second, and third place.
